If you are craving to read a blog about beauty and lifestyle but with some more substance, then you’ll feel right at home here!
This blog started out in 2015 as an idea and space for myself to share with others beauty/makeup looks as an aspiring artist but with some more depth and substance than just trying to look pretty on the outside. But as time went on, I felt like I needed to use this blog to share more than just beauty. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in late 2014, and since then I’ve met many others who are dealing with the same thing. They would ask me for advice and information but I felt like giving them helpful information in one sitting was too overwhelming, so I got the idea to include information on food and other helpful things for your body in this blog for all walks of life. So, this blog is not only about beauty, but it’s about sharing my journey and being able to help others in theirs, no matter what they are going through! I would love to be a source of encouragement and inspiration in life, art, beauty, food, fashion, and being and loving yourself, for you!
The inspiration behind the name of the blog was from a quote by Audrey Hepburn; “The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives. The passion that she knows.” I just love Audrey Heburn and when I was deciding on a name I just could not pick one that I really liked. So this one day, I was randomly reading through some of her quotes and came across this one and it really struck me because, it’s not just the outer beauty that counts but the inner beauty (the soul) is also just as important.
Now a little about myself…
I’m a twenty-two-year-old from Northeast Ohio (Go Tribe!), I enjoy our crazy weather here! Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved picking out fun outfits and wearing loud lipstick and eyeshadow (I used to wear copper and forest green eyeshadow together when I was 14 but I’ve toned it down since then😉) Some of my hobbies include making rustic art, cooking and baking lots of goodies, reading different genres of books, fishing and gardening. I also volunteer at my local church and I’m involved in an A-Team for A21 (Abolishing Slavery in the 21st Century.)
I’m so glad you took the time to stop and visit me here. If you have questions, product recommendations, or something in particular you want to learn about, I’m all ears!
